Recruitment privacy notice

This Privacy Notice sets out the basis on which personal data is collected from you to enable you to apply for a job with Movavi Software Limited or its affiliates (hereinafter Movavi, we, or us). The term “affiliates” refers to companies related to us by common ownership or control.

When you apply for a job opening posted by us, these Privacy Notice provisions will apply to our processing of your personal information in addition to our Privacy Policy.
Information we collect from you

We collect and process some or all of the following types of information from you:
– Name
– Country of residence
– Email address
– Telephone number
– Job status
– Qualifications
– Education history
– Other information included in the submitted Curriculum Vitae
Purposes of processing

We use information held about you in the following ways:
  • To consider your application with respect to the role for which you have applied
  • To communicate with you with regard to the recruitment process
Our legal basis to process personal data is based on our legitimate interest in recruiting staff for our business.
Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your information internally within our business to relevant teams including, without limitation, the human resources team, the hiring manager to whom the role reports, or the department within which the role is located.

We may also disclose your information to the following entities to the extent necessary:
  1. Movavi affiliates. Your information may be shared among Movavi affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.
  2. Other parties as required by law. There may be instances when we disclose your information to other parties, such as:
– To comply with the law or respond to a compulsory legal process (such as a search warrant or other court order)
– To protect the rights, property, or safety of Movavi or any of our respective affiliates or personnel
– As part of a merger or transfer, acquisition or sale, or in the event of bankruptcy
Security

Movavi stores your information and takes the appropriate administrative and technical security measures to protect that information from unauthorized access and disclosure in compliance with internal rules and procedures (including GDPR).

These safeguards include, without limitation, the following:
  1. Administrative safeguards. Access to personal information about users is limited to authorized personnel who have a legitimate need to know based on their job descriptions. All such data is subject to password protection. In the case of third-party contractors who process personal information on our behalf, similar requirements are imposed.
  2. Technical safeguards. Access to user information in our database via the Internet is not permitted except through an encrypted virtual private network (VPN). Other access is limited to our physical premises, and the removal of personal information from our location is prohibited. Third-party contractors who process personal information on our behalf agree to provide similarly reasonable physical safeguards.
International transfer of your data

We collect information globally and may transfer, process, and store your information outside of your country of residence. Whenever we transfer your information, we take steps to protect it. To facilitate our global operations, we transfer information to and allow access to that information from countries in which companies owned or operated by Movavi have operations for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. These countries may have data protection laws less stringent than or otherwise different from the laws in effect in the country in which you are located. When we transfer your personal data as described above, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data receives adequate security protection where it is processed, and your rights continue to be protected pursuant to the applicable data protection law, including through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Your rights

Under data protection law, as the data subject, you have rights we need to make you aware of. The rights available to you depend on our reason for collecting and processing your information. 

  1. Right of access. You have the right to request copies of your personal information. This right always applies. However, there are some exceptions when you may not always receive all of the information we process about you. 
  2. Right to rectification. You have a right to ask us to correct or complete your personal information if you find that it is inaccurate or incomplete. If we share your personal information with others, we will ask them to correct or complete it as soon as possible.
  3. Right to erasure. You may ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances, for example, if your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was provided or if you want to withdraw your consent. If we share your personal information with others, we will notify them that they need to erase your information where possible. 
  4. Right to restriction of processing. You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your data in cases determined by law.  
  5. Right to object to processing. You have the right to request that, under certain conditions, we restrict the processing of your personal information. 
  6. Right to data portability. You have the right to request that, under certain conditions, we transfer the information that we have collected to another organization or directly to you. 
  7. Right to withdraw consent. If we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, but this will not affect any processing of your data that has already taken place.
  8. Right to make a complaint to a supervisory authority. We maintain high standards when it comes to processing your personal information. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us at privacy@movavi.com and we will respond. If you have a concern about our privacy practices, including the way we handle your personal information, you can report it to the data protection authority authorized to hear those concerns. 
  9. Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of the rights available to you.
We will not keep your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. This means that data will be destroyed or erased from our systems when it is no longer required. We take appropriate steps to ensure that information we process and retain about you based on the following:
1. As required under law, under the terms of a contract, or with regard to our statutory obligations; or
2. For as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected

Except as otherwise stated herein, Movavi is a data controller of personal information processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

This Privacy Notice may be amended or canceled by us at our discretion without prior notification. A new version of the Privacy Notice is effective from the moment of its publication unless specified otherwise by such new version of the Privacy Notice.
